Has a bunch of examples on sending mail. You just need to find out how the phone carriers require the phone numbers to written... For instance, SKYTEL pagers are something like xxxxxxxxxx@.skytel.com
Its not like sending emails, it needs a gateway, where you subscribe with companies that provide such gatways and it costs too !!!

Hm.. thats weird. I have verizon wireless and i am able to send myself messages over email.
How is that ? Can you explain more please ?
regards
Well, i dont know if this is the same for every carrier, and i dont know if i am interpretting the question right, but if you check out http://www.vtext.com/customer_site/jsp/messaging_lo.jsp
you can "Enter up to 10 VZW #s or nicknames, separating each entry by a comma.
Ex: 9991234567, sam@.vtext.com"
I just tested it out.. i go 5555555555@.vtext.com (i did this in outlook, only with my phone number), and it sends a message to my phone.
Hi,
TextAnywhere offer an excellent web service for sending SMS messages- cost UK 10 pence (approx US 18 cents).
Let me know if you decide they are right for you as I have written code to consume the web service methods.
Also look at a company called ClickATel - www.clickatel.com
Hope this helps.
Steve.
i want my web site users can send sms to others
