SMTP Setting ??

Hi all,

In my pc, is already SMTP in IIS. I use SMTP Server to send an email. That's work for my domain email (company email). But, when i send email to other (gmail), no email is sent. I found the email in C:\Inetpub\mailroot\Queue. Also, i have waited about 15 mins because the folder is Queue. but, still not send to gmail. So, i think there may be another configuration in SMTP.

any idea?

Normally that's a DNS error or an addressing error. Check the SMTP logs and Badmail messages if any. But if you're on a dynamic IP address or many broadband cable connections, GMail won't accept your mail.

Hi,

Sometimes you cannot send mails to other domains because your smtp server is not configured well.I am sure but check the following settings

Open IIS>smtp virtual server>right click on it >properties>Access>Relay

In that select 2nd option.

There is nothing in Badmail messages. Where can i find the SMTP Logs. I think that is not concern with gmail because all the messages that i send to gmail is in C:\Inetpub\mailroot\Queue. So, it may need some configuration changes.

I have checked the relay. At that part, i chooseAll except the list below option and there is nothing in the below list. And i check the checkbox below the list (Allow all computers which successfully authenticate ... ). I don't know why sending to gmail has been delayed.

regards,
